The International Conference on Viksit Bharat 2047: Pioneering Transformation and Shaping Global Business Landscape , an interdisciplinary conference and seek to understand various aspects of Bharat as a Global Leader particularly in key priority sectors. The conference aims to deliberate on issues around Bharat’s role as a global Leader with focus on technology, marketing, finance, human resource, sustainability, innovation, supply chain, entrepreneurship and role of women in its development.

The International Conference on Viksit Bharat 2047: Pioneering Transformation and Shaping Global Business Landscape was a landmark event that brought together experts, scholars, and thought leaders from diverse fields to delve into the multifaceted aspects of Bharat's journey towards global leadership. Over the course of our deliberations, we delved into various facets of Bharat's journey, ranging from technology and innovation to sustainability, entrepreneurship, and the empowerment of women.
For the International Conference, the institute had associated with (AMDISA)’s The South Asian Journal of Management (SAJM), towards the publication of Special Issue for the International Conference. Another association was made with the Journal Press India for Conference Management System and publication opportunities in two UGC care journals namely Manthan and Mudra along with four other peer reviewed journals namely Focus, Vision, Pragati, and Computology. Selected abstracts, vetted by the conference editorial team, got their place in the 'Conference Proceedings', published by 'Journal Press India' with separate e-ISBN & DOI numbers.
In total 114 research papers that has been received from different fields. IMDR always encourages its students for research and gaining knowledge, out of total 114 Research Papers, 26 research papers are contributed by our students independently or in collaboration with faculties.
The IMDR Conference had received wide coverage and research papers were received from different parts of India comprising of Delhi, Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh, Tamilnadu, Rajasthan, Orissa, West Bengal, Gujarat, Punjab, and Madhya Pradesh.
Inaugural programme was conducted through live session taken by Mr. Aashish Chandorkar, Counsellor at the Permanent Mission of India to the World Trade Organization in Geneva, Switzerland. He had enlightened us with thought provoking words on critical issues influencing India's present position at global level, challenges, opportunities and way ahead.
Dr. Bhimaraya Metri, Director IIM Nagpur, graced the valedictory function as chief guest of the conference and shared notes on various topics such as More funding from Govt. for developing Technology, Digitalization is most important for Viksit Bharat 2047 dream to come true, Various Govt schemes to encourage entrepreneurship, Focus on Carbon neutral by year 2070, Focus on bridging gap between Rural and Urban India, ONDC is giving big challenge to Amazon and Flipkart.
Mr. Sven Hoose, Director at J.Wagner India Pvt. Ltd., Germany, graced the valedictory session in person as keynote speaker and expressing stimulating thoughts such as ‘Employee comes First’ instead of ‘Customer Come first’, Focus on Student Exchange programme and collaborations between India and German, Importance of having Mentor in life, Focus on culture alignment and culture training in the organisations especially on cross culture and Less resources so focus on Scarcity Economics and Sustainability
Second keynote speaker Dr. Sawani Raje Byrne, whose session on 'Exploring the Impact of Strategic Autonomy on Foreign Policy toward Viksit Bharat 2047' from King's College, London, provided invaluable perspectives on strategic autonomy and its implications for Viksit Bharat by focussing on India's relationships with neighbouring nations and role of cultural diplomacy.
Other key note speaker Ms. Garima Garg, Associate Vice President at Verizon, for sharing her expertise and insights during the interview session on 'Empowering Women in Leadership through Tech Advancement: Shaping Bharat 2047.' Her thoughts had sparked important discussion on gender inclusivity at leadership level and their role in technological advancement.
Member authors of the Business Ethics Foundation had done panel discussion on 'Integrated Development for Viksit Bharat 2047: Industry, Health, Values & Global Partnerships.' and also released their book 'Viksit Bharat 2047.
Each contribution, whether spoken or written through the research papers, panel discussions, and keynote addresses, has added depth and wider perspective to our collective understanding of Bharat's path to glory on the world stage. By encouraging interdisciplinary discussions and providing avenues for academic publication, the conference had contributed in advancing knowledge and shaping the path of Bharat's transformative journey towards 2047.
Conference proceedings of abstracts in the form of flip book with e- ISBN and DOI Number was also launched in the valedictory session by Mr. Sven Hoose. Top 3 winners were felicitated for Best Paper Award. IMDR Journal of Management Development & Research also came out with Research papers from the conference.
Report on the International Conference on Emerging Economies, Trade and Markets
The International Conference on Emerging Economies, Trade and Markets took place at DES IMDR on 10 th and 11 th March 2023. It was an interdisciplinary conference that was aimed towards an understanding of major opportunities and challenges global economies particularly in key priority sectors. In the past two days, serious deliberations were held on issues around global trade mechanisms and networks and its linkages to development and emerging market mechanisms that provide transformative solutions including potential game changers in business and industry, and analyse current social, technological, environmental and management issues that govern societal change.
Day 1 of the conference began with the traditional Saraswati Vandana followed by the Director Dr Shikha Jain’s welcome address. This was followed by IMDR Chairman CS Mahesh Athawale’s address in which he emphasized on the significance of such conferences and the importance of noting the points made by speakers irrespective of whether we agreed with them or not.
The keynote address was made by Mr Sagar Kulkarni from Canada. He spoke about the current developments in the field of trade followed by the current state of the market in Canada. He also spoke about the importance of investing and also highlighted a few sectors in which profits could be made. As an immigrant in Canada, he shared his experiences from his days a young expat to the modern opportunities and challenges of immigration in developing economies.
Guest Speaker for Session 1 was Dr Dian from Indonesia who spoke extensively about opportunities and challenges in social media marketing. She focused on the need for social network analysis and how it helps in framing strategies for effective communication within and between networks.
Guest Speker for Session 2 was Dr Sumona Poonphon from Thailand who gave detailed insights on the sustainable development goals and how Thailand was fighting the battle against climate change. Her vast experience of dealing with sustainable development was well appreciated by the students.
This was followed by paper presentations. IMDR received more than 40 different papers for the conference in diverse areas and these had to be split in multiple tracks. About 10 presentations were made on Day 1.
Day 2 began with the Panel discussion which consisted of Mr Lalit Pachpande, Mr Bhushan Kulkarni, Mr Mohashish Rathod and Mr Joy Aich. Mr Lalit Panchpande also was the moderator for the session who began with his experience of importing speciality chemicals from abroad and the challenges that occurred due to the outbreak of the Russia-Ukraine war. He said that MNCs would have to adopt by the policies taken by the country in which their company is headquartered. Mr Kulkarni said that war affected software development from Poland for a brief period that had a significant impact on his organization. He also spoke about the importance of digital currency and how the pandemic was pivotal in the spread of digital transactions in our country. Mr Rathod spoke healthcare developments and how alternative pharma is still not in a position to dominate the market governed by Allopathy. He also said that sanctions need to be seen with a two-way perspective and businessmen need to find their way if these sanctions affect them adversely. My Joy Aich spoke about the developments in the automobile industry. He gave his reasons as to why he believed that green hydrogen still has a long way to go before it becomes a part of every day vehicles. These points had a deep impact on the students
This was followed by paper presentations. The speaker for the valedictory session was Mr Amr Sadik from Egypt who gave interesting insights on the changing values in the society. He advocated social change and advised people to adapt themselves to the dynamics of the modern world.
The conference received widespread appreciation from all participants, international guests and students.
