“ Studying at IMDR was life changing for me. The unconventional method of teaching through collaborative discussions, games, exercises, case studies, participant observations, process labs and system interface gave me a fresh perspective to understand people and surroundings. The teaching is coupled with such fun and enthusiasm that learning becomes effortless. ”

IMDR has a special place in my heart, and will always remain like that. It is during these years I discovered myself, my interests, and my pursuits in life. It was a true sense experiential learning program with a thoughtfully designed curriculum where we enjoyed learning from all our faculties, guest lecturers, peers, seniors, alumni & the institute resources books, and beyond. The best was the enormous conversations that we had with my fellow learners and faculties, and the relationship we built at that time, some of them have grown so personal that will remain etched on my memory for all life to come
IMDR is a rare community that has shaped and impacted many of us for being and becoming who we are today. As students, it gave us the environment and the freedom to pursue our interests and know ourselves better. While it is said "learning is always personal", how we create meaning around us "relate", "respond" or "react" to it, defines who we are - This is what we famously called a Self Driven learning system. This is very important for one's professional and personal growth especially when you aspire to Lead in a rapidly changing business environment or contribute to society at large or just lead a meaningful life for yourself.

My journey at IMDR was a remarkable one. In hindsight, I recognize that it has helped evolve me in ways that I could have never imagined.
The environment was really open and it empowered each of the students to realize their full potential, with the only boundary of TTT (Time, Task, Territory). The faculty were excellent and their teaching methodologies and the program structure were well ahead of time. All these in combination, helps one get prepared for various situations in life, and also the stints in the corporate world.
I believe that enrolling with IMDR for the PGDM course was one of the most rewarding decisions that I had taken in my life. The real time case studies and experiences have changed the paradigm of my way of looking at life and challenges.

“The entrance via a process that preferred winning together over individual brilliance resulted in a truly eclectic bunch of batch mates that two and a half decades down remain bonded together for life.
Sure there were books and professors too, but they were more life coaches than subject teachers. Me, was transformed from a quiet skinny bloke that hardly spoke, into what is now 'voiceterous' - IMDR gave both shape and voice to thoughts that were there but wouldn't express - probably the most critical prize from those two years. ”Susheel Patil ,
Vice-President(Operations), DynPro India Private Limited

It’s a second home and the ecosystem has shaped me come up as a better individual. I would say that it has been an important stepping stone and part of my life and I definitely credit a part of who I am to the time well spent at IMDR ! ”

“The unique "group work" selection process is what set apart IMDR. The emphasis on collaborating rather than a debate swung my decision to join. I liked that the curriculum had an element of practical knowledge and an open environment where our teachers were drawn both from academia and industry. The wide diversity in the student community exposed me to a variety of thought processes and attitudes towards life. This came handy in my career where I have had to live among, interact and work with people spanning cultures and geographies. Organising multiple events and participations in regular activities in mixed groups fostered team building. This well rounded 'experience' has helped me throughout my professional journey. The two years invested in IMDR were fun and I've made friends for life. ”

“I had the honour of being a part of IMDR from 1993-1995. We were taught by some of the brightest minds like Dr. Bhupatkar and Prof. Sapre. They instilled in us a deep understanding of the subjects we specialized in and taught us values like authenticity, humility and the courage to be yourself. ”

“One of the dictionary meanings of the word Institute is ‘summary of principles’. IMDR at a core level is the summary of principles I upheld in my life. While most management schools focus on making us more competitive, IMDR ended up making us better, happier and grounded people. Those ‘human skills’ are a stronger mantra for success in the long run versus rankings. Takes time to understand and appreciate but most of us do in the long run. ”
Jaspreet Singh Ahuja
CEO of New Ventures Partnerships (U.K.) Ltd
“At IMDR, I never felt like 'one amongst many' and neither gave the feeling of being 'the one and only'. Grounding in academics, overall character building, essence of teamwork AND need to share and build on your and each others ideas is something that I have taken. Cozy and warm campus, great library, professors with whom you could have a 'healthy' exchange of ideas and classmates that have stayed together forever are the cornerstones of memories.”

“The time that I have spent in IMDR has made a huge contribution to who I am as a person today. The relationship that I have with IMDR is far more than a relationship between an educational institute and a student. During our course, the emphasis was laid on a strong foundation and clarity of concepts for the professional as well as personal life in addition to our basic course curriculum. It's like being a part of the institution which in true sense has an impact on your holistic growth. The way I could connect with my professors, as well as guest faculties, has been so impactful to the extent that till today whenever I feel overwhelmed or confused at any step of life, they are my go-to people, their presence and guidance works as a beacon for me to come back on track. The international exposure through the Erasmus program was like a masterstroke which widened my exposure as well as network across the globe. For a fact, IMDR is unlike a usual college for students being prepared to get high paying jobs, it's like an institution of knowledge, driven by a strong sense of values and culture which empowers the student to face and be a part of the real challenging world. Indeed I am blessed for getting that magic touch of IMDR to my life.”
