The webinar was conducted for PGDM I and II. She guided students about what Recruiters look for in candidates and how candidates should present themselves in GD/PI. She put forth the following points to be considered for cracking GD/PI:
- While GD you should listen to others but that doesn’t mean the candidate should be only listening to others, try and put down some relevant and breakthrough views and make your presence felt to an interviewer.
- While preparation reading about current affairs, and experts' opinions on current happenings, mock GDs will help candidates appear confidently.
- Try to keep yourself calm and confident and get yourself aligned with the process.
- She highlighted that recruiters look for skills, attitude, adaptiveness, and confidence in the case of fresher’s.
- In PI there are some common questions if answered correctly will help the candidate to prove themselves different.
- Domain knowledge is something that a candidate must be thorough with.
- Write your resume carefully and write only truth.
- Give supportive examples while answering.
- Read JDs carefully and know about the company.
- Do mock interviews.
- Candidate should be presentable ( in terms of Dressing, grooming, and overall appearance)
- Be honest about what you say and try justifying it with supportive incidents.
- Even if you couldn’t crack an interview don’t get under pressure, take it as a challenge and learn from the mistakes you made
- When different companies are coming for placements with different roles candidates should do a little bit of research about what they actually require and prepare accordingly.
- In case the candidate is lacking in language proficiency, mocks, and talking in that particular language continuously will help to improve.
- Candidates should not carry any wrong perception about any particular location and reject the offer based on myth rather should accept the offer and have real experience working at such locations
