Profile:

Dr.Gopa Das is an assistant professor specializing in human resources and business communication. She completed her Ph.D. in Corporate Communication at Savitribai Phule Pune University and brings over thirteen years of combined industrial and academic experience from various management institutes in Pune. Beyond her teaching responsibilities, she has provided training to corporations, government agencies, academicians, and management students on leadership and team management.

In addition, Dr. Das has published a book and numerous research papers in academic journals and has presented her work at various national and international conferences focusing on human resources, employee engagement, and communication. She is also a proud recipient of the “Best Teacher” award from the International Lion’s Club for her contributions to education.

Her academic work focuses on imparting knowledge in human resources, enhancing students' employability skills, preparing them for the industry, and transforming them into intellectually independent and effective communicators.

Experience:

Started her career as an HR Executive at ANAMA Energies Pvt. Ltd., where she was responsible for understanding the company's requirements, focusing on job descriptions and specifications, screening and shortlisting resumes through job portals, references, and headhunting, maintaining MIS for recruitment details, designing compensation and benefits packages, implementing performance review procedures, and developing and ensuring compliance with HR policies. She joined Sinhgad Institute of Management in 2008, served for 12 years, and has been associated with DES’s Institute of Management Development and Research since 2021.
