Profile:
Prof. Shaunak Mainkar is an Assistant Professor at IMDR, Pune, with a robust academic background and a deep commitment to finance education. He completed his graduation in commerce and quickly decided to pursue a career in teaching. Prof. Mainkar demonstrated academic excellence by qualifying the NET and SET examinations on his first attempt while still in the second year of his post-graduation. He began his teaching career as a visiting faculty at Ness Wadia College of Commerce, Pune, and later spent a year at Brihan Maharashtra College of Commerce (BMCC), Pune, as a full-time faculty member.
His passion for finance led him to start independent research on stock markets in 2018, which he eagerly shared with his students, fostering a dynamic learning environment. This initiative has attracted a diverse and growing student base. In recognition of his expertise, Prof. Mainkar received SEBI Registration as a Research Analyst in March 2022. He is deeply involved in promoting financial literacy among students, working professionals, homemakers, and anyone interested in gaining financial knowledge. With over 6 years of teaching experience, Prof. Mainkar has consistently been praised by students for creating a supportive and engaging classroom atmosphere, allowing them to thrive academically.
