IMDR organized a corporate career guidance fair, titled “Power Ahead: Roadmap to Corporate Success”, for final year graduates and passed out students on 3rd September 2022. The concerned event aimed to help students to understand their inclination among various functional domains of business and management specializations, and spread awareness about new age techno-managerial careers.
There are various articles that exhibit that management education is the choice of the graduates, but there is a lack of adequate awareness among students regarding the various career opportunities available and their individual fit with the job profiles. Through this event, IMDR are keen to guide and counsel young minds about the journey to successful entry into the corporate world.
The event modalities were as follows -
The candidates answered a questionnaire (prepared by IMDR), which shall give the skill inclination of the student. (based on the answers given)
The candidates then visited the centrally located institute for a detailed analysis of the specialization counselling.
The visiting candidates then underwent an interview, which gave a subjective outlook towards their personality and traits. Both the questionnaire and the interview had given the prospective specialization suitable for the student.
Based on the questionnaire and the interview, an analysis was provided to the students. The analysis had a road map of the specializations in consideration with special focus on the careers associated with the respective specializations.
Throughout the day at different times, various sessions were conducted by eminent speakers (4 nos.), giving critical information regarding their specialized areas of work. (Example: Market Research, Fintech expert, Supply chain specialist, HR Analytics, Business Analytics, 3D printing etc.)Candidates then visit the campus, depending on their interest in the session being conducted.
The following guest speakers were present:
The event is a full-day program and the entire process took 60 to 90 minutes per candidate.
