          Bhima river is a major river in the state of Maharashtra, India. It is

          one of the main tributaries of the Krishna river and flows through the
          districts of Pune, Solapur, Satara, Sangli, and Osmanabad. The river
          originates near Bhimashankar in the Western Ghats and flows for a
          total length of about 725 kilometers before joining the Krishna River

          near Raichur in Karnataka.

          The Bhima River is an important source of water for irrigation,
          drinking, and industrial purposes in the region. It is also a major
          source of hydropower, with several dams and hydroelectric power

          stations built on the river. The river basin is known for its fertile
          agricultural land, with sugarcane being a major crop grown in the
          region. The river also plays an important role in the cultural and
