             As per the National Sample Survey (NSS) 73rd round
             conducted during the period 2015-16, MSME sector has
             been  creating  11.10  crore  jobs  (360.41  lakh  in
             Manufacturing, 387.18 lakh in Trade and 362.22 lakh in
             Other Services and 0.07 lakh in Non-captive Electricity
             Generation  and  Transmission)  in  the  rural  and  the
             urban areas across the country.

             Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) are the
             growth accelerators of the Indian economy, contributing
             about  30%  of  the  country’s  gross  domestic  product
             (GDP). In terms of exports, they are an integral part of the
             supply chain and contribute about 40% of the overall
             exports.
             MSME in Pune
             As on March 2019, the Pune region had 2.14 lakh of the
             9.86 lakh MSMEs in the state. These provided jobs to
             about 15 lakh people and the cumulative investment in
             these  was  Rs.  47,814  crores.  Economic  Survey  of
             Maharashtra (2019-20) found that Pune region has got
             the  maximum  share  of  investment  in  Maharashtra  in
             last  four  years.  During  these  four  years  Pune  has
             attracted Rs 62,575 crore capital, which is 29.3 per cent
             of  the  total  Rs  2,13,400  crore  investment.  As  per  the
