Foreword

Greetings to the esteemed readers and scholars,

The IMDR of Deccan Education Society is a matter of pride. The institute
organizes a number of seminars on the current topics of economic, social,
commercial and industrial importance in the society, as well as publishes
books by compiling review articles by the t authors across various sectors
of the industry. This year, IMDR has decided to publish a special issue on
the occasion of seventy-five years of Indian Independence.

Dr. PC Shejwalkar, the founder director of the institute and a former life
member of the Deccan Education Society used to dream of a bright future
for India. He was confident that his students would go to various industries
and build bridges of hard work to fulfil these dreams. With tremendous
confidence, the Prime Minister of our country Shri. Narendra Modi has
declared that “India will soon become an economic superpower” and that
announcement caught the attention of the whole world. He announced
that by 2024, India’s economy will be worth five trillion dollars. Many
economists at home and abroad did not believe his statement. IMDR then
decided to publish a special issue on the same subject.

In the last eight years, the country’s social, economic, trade and
industrial sectors have made significant progress. We never had a
shortage of efficient manpower in our country. We were lacking in proper
leadership and guidance. This issue explains in great detail how India
