Researcher was interested to know the consumer psychology of stocking the grocery and food
items and it is realised that, though majority (53%) of respondents mentioned that they are
buying as per the requirement, many respondents (46%) mentioned that they are buying extra
items than a necessity.(Fig. 11-13)
Honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Chief Ministers of respective states had
encouraged the citizen to contribute towards the care funds. In response to this appeal, it is
observed that 134 (50%) respondents have contributed to such funds out of which majority
(81%) respondents have contributed up to Rs. 5000/- and around 19 % have contributed more
than Rs. 5000/-(Fig. 14 & 15)
In a comparative study, it is observed that Television is not at all a primary device for people in
this lockdown period. People are spending more time on Smart Phone than the Television.
Majority (65%) of respondents are spending between 2 hrs. to 6 hrs. on Smart phone compared
to Television (42%) spending less than 2 hrs.(Fig. 16 & 17)
It observed that most of the time spent on TV is for News (47%) followed by Indian Mythology
(23%) and Majority (58%) of respondents are spending time for watching videos/Movies on
Mobile, followed by Communicating with friends and Family (29%)(Fig. 18 &19).
