a large amount of straw is burnt before wheat cultivation, and this causes
huge damage to the environment. If this straw is converted into alcohol,
the process will greatly benefit the economy. Alcohol mixing with petrol
and diesel will reduce air pollution. This will also reduce petrol and diesel
prices. The experiment could be further expanded to increase the alcohol
content to 100 percent, thus modifying the engine of the vehicle. The
more organic waste is available, the more alcohol can be produced and
the more it can be mixed into petrol and diesel. India spends heavily on
foreign exchange to buy petrol and diesel, which will also reduce, thereby
reducing the cost of petrol and diesel. In addition, alcohol is used as a
raw material in many chemical industries. Increasing the number of
alcohol-based industries will be an important step for India’s industrial
development.
The country has huge mineral wealth in 11 states. Only one
and a half per cent of India’s total economic income comes from
mineral resources production. We can increase this capacity by at least 4
times according to the estimates taken at the very basic level. This means
that the revenue generated from mineral production can contribute 6
to 7 per cent of the total GDP without allowing the destruction of the
environment. This could give a huge impetus to the country’s industries
and businesses as a whole. (How India can become a Superpower Lt.
Ashok Soman) There is also a need to increase the efficiency of Indian
ports and the number of ports. If there are state-of-the art arrangements
for loading and unloading goods at a port, larger volume of cargo can be
loaded and unloaded in less time. Arrangements must be made for the
unloaded cargo to be carried away quickly by rail. The number of ports
today needs to be tripled. In order to reduce the stress on the ports of
Mumbai and Kandla in Maharashtra, there is a need to make Wadhwan
port operational. Special operations should be carried out to increase the
capacity and speed of cargo ships. The Government of India’s ‘Sagarmala’
scheme has a detailed plan for the development of ports. (Aniruddha
Padalikar,2021) India is still known as a superpower in the field of
software. But
India needs to make more progress in hardware manufacturing.
Especially if the semiconductor material can be manufactured in the right
quantity and with the right quality, the circuit boards and ICs required
for electronic devices can be manufactured in our country. Due to huge
shortage of ICs which hampers the production of in mobiles, laptops,
television sets and all automobiles. If this gap is filled, it will be possible for
