Respondents have sufcient work experience as exhibited in Figure 2 below indicate
that they having experienced cyclical uctuations during their work life. This
experience gives them an edge in assessing the current situation and its impact in the
long run.

Respondent awareness about day to day developments in the economy and the evolving
business scenarios also is high as majority of respondents rated themselves with three
or points, as exhibited in the graph and table in Figure 3.

The data has been analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistical tools. The
researcher tested the following hypotheses using two factor ANOVA in Microsoft Excel–
1. Hypothesis 1 - In the next 12 months, the situation of Job creation is likely to be
uncertain.
2. Hypothesis 2 - The current situation is a fertile ground for discovering new business
opportunities and start-ups
3. Hypothesis 3 - Cultivating and nurturing innovation is the most important driver for
entrepreneurship development ecosystem.
Data Analysis and Discussion
COVID-19 pandemic impact on business and economy can be equated to that of a
natural disaster, which has hit the economy and society with full force across the globe.
All aspects social, cultural and trade related have been severely disrupted because of
the lockdown imposed to ght the spread. The uncertainty surrounding the pandemic
has dislodged strategic structures and well thought out business plans. Just before
the COVID19 threat arrived in India with the rst patient in the last week of January,
the Indian economy entered the year with a 4.7%, yoy growth rate in Q4 of 2019 down
from 5.1% in the earlier quarter. The COVID-19 lockdown stalled business activity,
further upending the economic situation. This research study gathers expert insights
about what has been the impact of the COVID aftermath, on existing jobs and new job
creation and whether entrepreneurial activation triggers during an anticipated
economic downturn. This section presents the analysis of expert views gathered via a
structured questionnaire, using descriptive and analytical statistical tools.
At the outset the researcher attempted to nd out the respondent perspective on
whether COVID19 has triggered recessionary situation in the Indian economy. The rst
variable measured in this regard was the job situation. The researcher nds that there
