          STATE WISE PERFORMANCE OF MUDRA LOAN

          The Government of India has been introducing
          several exclusive schemes for  the purpose of
          financial inclusion. These schemes aim to provide

          social security to the deprived sections of the society.
          It primarily aims to include everybody in the society
          by giving them basic financial services without any
          kind  of  discrimination.  Pradhan  Mantri  Mudra

          Yojana (PMMY)  is  one  of  the  schemes  launched
          by Government  of  India  in  order to  achieve the
          goal of financial inclusion. It focuses on providing
          reliable  financial  solutions  to  the  economically

          underprivileged sections of the society.

          The objective of the present study is to analyze the
          performance  of  Mudra  loan  in  different  states  of
          India. There are three Mudra loan schemes namely
          Shishu, Kishor and Tarun has been analyzed. The
          period  under  consideration  is  for  the  five  years
          starting from 2015 – 2020. The base year has been

          taken as 2015-16 and the performance of the loan
          scheme has been analyzed by taking the value of
          year 2015-16 as base. The data has been analyzed
          on the basis of number of accounts opened under
          these three loan schemes and the disbursement
          made in the period of five years. The data has been
          obtained from the official website of Mudra.
