Foreword

In a world that increasingly seeks answers to modern
complexities, the deep reservoirs of ancieñt wisdom hold
solutions that are as relevant today as they were millennia
ago. It is with immense respect and enthusiasm that I
introduce NITI - Navigating India’s Traditions in Industry,
a seminal work that bridges the vast knowledge embedded
in Indian traditions with contemporary management and
              organizational practices.
Continuous political and social slavery and systematic mutation of original
ancient history through subjective and oppressive education system,
converted the historical facts into guessing mythology, whereby all treasures
of knowledge once Bharat possessed in areas of management, governance,
science, astronomy, mathematics, jyothisha, etc. got lost permanently.
This book, a collaborative effort under the guidance of the Deccan
Education Society’s Institute of Management Development and Research
(IMDR), is not just a testament to academic rigor but also a reflection of how
timeless principles can inspire modern innovation. Drawing on the research
of 160 students and the mentorship of 16 faculty members, NITI serves as
both a scholarly pursuit and a pragmatic guide for leaders, educators and
practitioners eager to find ethical and sustainable pathways in an increasingly
              volatile world.
The richness of Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS) lies in its ability to integrate
the material and the spiritual, the pragmatic and the ethical. This holistic
approach to life and decision-making finds its way into every chapter of this
book, crafting a narrative that is both deeply rooted in tradition and visionary
in its outlook. At a time when global businesses grapple with challenges like
sustainability, governance and inclusivity, this book’s exploration of Vedic
wisdom, Dharmashastra, Ayurveda and even Dhanurveda offers a unique
perspective. It shows how ancient frameworks can inform modern practices
in leadership, strategy and organizational culture.
