Pay transparency tools and their implementation to

                   close the gender wage gap in India

             Commentary :

            1)  Pay  transparency  tools  can  help  identify  gender  pay gaps
          and enable organizations to take corrective actions. The study
          highlights the need for organizations to have a clear pay structure
          and grading system, as well as transparent communication with
          employees about their pay.
            2) Creating awareness among employees about their rights and
          the organization’s pay policies can empower them to negotiate
          better salaries and in turn improve productivity.

            3) Regular monitoring and evaluation of pay practices can help
          ensure that gender pay gaps are not perpetuated.

            4) The study recommends that the Indian Government should
          introduce legislation to mandate pay transparency and reporting,
          which can help reduce the gender pay gap in India.








        Introduction

        In the job market, there are gender
       disparities. Men are typically more likely
       than females to work for pay, put in
       longer hours per week, hold leadership
       positions, and work in more lucrative
       industries, all of which contribute to
       their higher overall pay. Contrarily,
       women perform the majority of the
       unpaid (care) tasks around the house.
