            Present & Expected Saving Pattern

The respondents were asked about their usual saving/ investment amount before &
after Covid 19 arrival in India. Majority (56%) of the respondents reported no change in
their saving pattern, whereas 23% also reported a decrease in Saving/Investment.
Only 21% respondents reported increase in savings/investment (Fig 21). On being
asked about their preferred mode of investment, majority (57%) reported that they
prefer to keep Cash/Bank balance. Since there can be more one preferred mode of
saving & investment, many respondents selected more than one option, out of which,
followed by cash, Mutual Funds/SIPs & Fixed deposits with bank emerged out to be
favourites with approximately 45% of the respondents choosing them (Fig 22)
