The researcher was able to gather 116 responses for the online survey conducted. The survey
had 6 questions related to the demography of the respondents. These questions were asked to
understand the background of the respondents. Out of the total responses, majority i.e. 94 out of
116 responses were from Maharashtra (Fig 1). 82% of the respondents were salaried
professionals & 18% were self-employed (Fig 2). For gathering the data related to income, the
researcher divided the income into 5 groups, ranging from INR 25,000 to INR 1,50,000 & the
respondents belonged to approximately 20% in each income group (Fig 3). Majority of the
respondents (66%) belonged to service sector, whereas a signicant (22%) respondents belonged
to Manufacturing sector (Fig 4).
In response to the question related to number of members in household, majority (33%) of the
respondents reported as having 4 members in the household, closely followed (31%) by 3
members in household. 15% respondents reported as having only 2 members in household,
whereas 21% respondents reported having a large family of 5 or more members (Fig 5). Majority
(40%) of the respondents reported 2 nancially independent members in household, closely
followed (37%) by respondents reporting 1 nancially independent member in household (Fig 6)
