Event date: 27th Feb, 28th Feb and 1st March, 2023
Venue: DES IMDR Campus
Kshitij is the most significant annual event of the year which integrates the
cultural, sports and management talents that exist on the campus. It is a platform
where both the PGDM batches- DM1 and DM2 compete with each other to win the
‘Batch of the year trophy’. It is also IMDR’s most anticipated intra-college event
which takes place over a period of 3 days with various management, sports and
cultural activities.
This year witnessed the expansion of the existing batches of DM 1 and DM2
by totalling the student strength to 360. This year also marked an increased
participation of students from prominent colleges in Pune as well as Kolhapur
in almost every event. The 3-day intercollegiate event was preceded by 3 day
cultural days organized for IMDRites which were the following: MisMatch day-
22nd Feb, Bollywood Day- 23rd Feb and Traditional Day- 24th Feb.
The days of 27th, 28th feb and 1st march marked the intercollegiate participation
in management, sports and cultural events. Students from prominent institutes
in Pune participated in events like Business Quiz, Mad Ads, Twist Debate,
Treasure Hunt, Table Tennis, Carrom, Chess, Dance Competition, Battle of Bands,
Photography, and Talent hunt- for intercollegiate and IMDR.
Cricket, Football, Badminton, Mister and Miss IMDR, Cultural Night, 100- Rs,
Entrepreneur, Tug of war (Only girls) were the events for IMDRites, including the
above mentioned intercollegiate events.
The Sports, Cultural and Extracurricular activities (SCEA) committee promoted
the event in various other B-schools and management colleges for post
graduate and undergraduate students. The committee members reached out
to schools like MIT-WPU, Bharti Vidyapeeth, MMCC, BMCC, MES Garware College
of Commerce, AISSMS, SP College, Fergusson college and a few others for
participation.
Students of the committee and a few volunteers steered the 3- day event to
success by managing activities through delegating work to detail. The event of
battle of bands was judged by Mr. Mayuresh Kulkarni (CSR Head, Tata Motors,
Pune) and Mr. Akshay Ghanekar (Former Pune Idol- 2015). The event of Dance
competition was judge by Mrs. Darshana Kanase (Trained Odissi trainer and
Sales tax Inspector, Pune GST Division).
Overall, Kshitij ‘23 was a successful and well-organized event that showcased
the talents of IMDRites and other students from prominent colleges. The SCEA
committee must be commended for their efforts in promoting the event and
ensuring its smooth conduct. The judges for the various events deserve special
recognition for their contribution to the event
