In this case, Farmer Produces is crucial to bolstering and assisting the institutionalization of farmers based on
membership. Limited resources and access to technology can also limit their activities. Many FPOs struggle

to sustain their operations in the long term due to management succession, resource constraints and changing
priorities. Policy and Government Support FPOs often need supportive policies and government programs to

succeed. Inconsistent political support and bureaucratic obstacles can hinder their growth and impact. FPO

members need to stay up-to-date with best practices in the fields of agriculture, management, and financial
management through ongoing training and capacity-building programs.

FPOs sometimes have to compete with each other and with other agricultural marketing channels, and
coordination problems can arise, leading to inefficiencies in the sector. FPOs often focus on one or a few crops

this can cause problems when dealing with crop failure or market fluctuations. To resolve these issues, a scope

of partners, including government organizations, non-legislative associations and confidential area
associations, can offer help through preparing, monetary help, market linkages and strategy. Furthermore,

through better governance, management and member training, FPOs can overcome these challenges and

improve the livelihoods of smallholder farmers in India.
