twelfth standard stage of higher secondary education will give
direction to the future life of every youth. The more employment
there is, the greater the demand for manufactured goods in the
country, the more factories will run at better capacity and India
will become self-sufficient. The only way to avoid having to
depend on China or any other country is to provide business
education and employment-based education.
More and more emphasis on research and technology
development
Special importance is given to research in college education.
The amount of research has been increasing over the last ten
years. But its quality is extremely pathetic. No one is paying
attention to this research internationally. None of the various
problems facing our country can be traced back to this country.
Therefore, the amount of research should be increased, at the
same time, the quality of the research should be improved.
Research should be done on topics that are useful to the society.
There should be quality research that will be noticed globally
with an emphasis on the NEP. As is proposed by NEP, some
colleges and some universities will only focus on research.
Research will be their job and the central government will set
aside Rs 20,000 crore every year for this purpose. This resolution
is very promising.
To provide world class education, there should be interaction
between different universities of the world. Professors or
researchers should keep moving from one university to another.
The Government of India will invite some foreign universities
to run some advanced courses in their country. Similarly,
many Indian universities will have the opportunity to go to
these countries and start some academic courses. Researchers
in various fields should have similar growing contacts with
experimental schools in other countries. The NEP emphasizes
that some new experiments should be done here to make our
researchers more aware of the research being done there and
to make further progress in the research that is useful in our
country.
