Process of creating a good quality teacher.

To make India self-reliant is to be able to create its own
technology to make progress in every sphere of life. To create
such a capable technology in every field, the education of every
field must be of such a high standard. To impart good education,
it is necessary to produce good quality teachers. These teachers
need to be equipped with high quality educational tools, well
equipped library, and well-equipped laboratories. To make this
happen, of course, the teacher education process must change.
Today’s teacher education colleges cannot produce such quality
teachers. Therefore, the nature of teacher education colleges
has also been changed in the NEP. Currently, it takes a two-year
BEd course to become a teacher. Realizing that this education
is not enough, the new education policy has created a four-year
integrated course of teacher education. The teacher will get
the degree of the subject s/he is going to teach and the degree
of teacher training. There will be different courses of teacher
training for school education and college education. Currently
MSc, PhD students are trained in their subject, but they work
as teachers in the college without any training on how to teach.
This discrepancy will now be removed. A person can become
a professor only after completing a one- or two-year course
of teacher training, even after completing a PhD. This type of
teacher training is also provided to vocational training teachers.
Therefore, the quality of teachers will improve and the students
studying in those courses will be better prepared.
Till date, the government was spending only 3% of the total
GDP on education. The government intends to increase that
expenditure to 6% of GDP in the next ten years by gradually
increasing it every year. State governments have also called
for a NEP to gradually increase their spending on education.
Government will give some concessions to make large amount
of funds available from the private sector.
               Plan for Universalization of education

Universalization of education is one of the major objectives
of this policy. To reach a target of 100% educated society, adult
education is one of the big challenges. After the Emergency,
