race and religion would be equal.
Staffing and Organising
He was good at allocating the work and finding the right
man for the right position. This was very clear in his running of
various organisations and mostly involved in giving the strategic
direction and initial thrust to the cause.
He ensured that whatever the cause is undertaken is managed
professionally with a broad organized structure and correct
people run it smoothly.
The detailing of the work to perfection can be seen by the
fact that he made it clear in the beginning that his book GITA
RAHSYA would be published only on paper produced by
Swadeshi Paper Mill.
All the organizations he formed or worked for always
followed the vertical pyramid of management - he being at the
top to guide say as a chairperson – and someone responsible to
run the day-to-day operations and the staff at appropriate places
and departments to support.
Management as a discipline was not taught during those
days and mostly family owned or single owner business were
prevalent at that time and all powers were rested with the owner,
but he divested all the powers with responsibility downwards
for better result while he followed yet another mission or goal.
This act helped him and the cause a lot especially when he
was jailed and in the later part of his life when he travelled
extensively. Travelling during those days was not as fast as today
and could take lot of time. Communication was also not as fast
as today. Getting the Second in line command ready helped
smooth transition in need of hour.
Promotion and Positioning
He simultaneously published Kesari (Marathi) and Mahratta
(English) - to let the idea of Independent India reach the masses
through the medium of Marathi and elite class through the
