established in 2013. India was ranked tenth in the world that year. Regretfully, the Hockey India
League was not contested in 2017. Nevertheless, it appears that the league has improved India's FIH
ranking, which is presently fourth out of 91 countries worldwide It's possible that the participation
of HIL's international support personnel and the finest talent in the world helped fuel India's
remarkable rise to prominence in the international arena.
Pro-Kabaddi League
It's noteworthy to note that international players' exposure to the age-old Indian sport of kabaddi
appears to have expanded in the case of the Pro-Kabaddi League. Iran, Bangladesh, Pakistan, and
South Korea's rivals are swiftly acquiring tactics to outplay India in their own league. Up until the
2018 Asian Games, India had dominated the sports and won the most gold medals in both the men's
and women's categories. In 2014, Star Sports launched the Pro-Kabaddi League, another franchise-
based league, too much excitement. International players were added by the franchises to give the
sport a global character. Thus, at the 2018 Asiad, when South Korea and Iran qualified for the Many
were taken aback when Iran defeated India in the semi-finals of the gold medal match. It appears
that the Pro-Kabaddi League has elevated the status of a number of international players who had
only recently taken up the sport. Many professional sports leagues have emerged in India, some of
which have already folded, and others are being developed, all of which were inspired by the Indian
Premier League. The management of a professional sports league in India must pay a substantial
amount to the national top sports federations each year in order to establish the league. The issue is
that federations have high financial demands, which aren't seen as a means of advancing the sport.
Badminton has closed in the past few years. When playing volleyball, A significant legal battle was
fought with the Federation. Thus, Joy Bhattacharyya, CEO of the first Professional Volleyball
League, stated, "The international volleyball federation, which was enjoying success with delight
volleyball, now discovers it is no longer there."
2016 saw 362 million viewers of the Indian Premier League (IPL), with the Indian Soccer League
(224 million), Indian Kabaddi League (220 million), Pro-Wrestling League (109 million), Hockey
India League (43 million), and Pro-Badminton League (36 million) following closely behind. These
figures are based on information provided by the Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC), a
Mumbai-based organization.
Numerous other leagues have been inspired by the IPL's success, although not all of them will be
prosperous. The "hardship" factor comes with managing a league. Cricket is a popular and
profitable sport, but it won't be simple for every league. Not everyone will necessarily be able to
make money. That is not going to occur, claims renowned cricket expert Ayaz Memon. senior
