Recognition as Climate-Resilient Crop: By positioning millets as
climate-compliant crops and incentivizing their cultivation, the dual
benefit of environmental sustainability and economic profitability
        can be realized.

Engagement with Food Services: Collaborating with restaurants and
food service providers can mainstream millets in everyday cuisine.
Research and development of millet-based recipes can further make
them appealing to a larger audience.

        5.1 Findings:

        5.1.1. Farmer-Centric Challenges: A significant barrier hindering
millet production in the Konkan region is the accessibility to

improved seeds. Many farmers are deterred by high costs and the
        limited availability of quality seeds.

5.1.2. Knowledge Gap: While millets offer numerous benefits, many
farmers lack awareness about cultivation techniques, benefits, and

potential profitability. The disconnect is evident in the absence
of structured training programs and information dissemination
        mechanisms.

5.1.3. Supply Chain Limitations: Efficient transportation, processing,

and storage mechanisms are integral to support millet production.
The current infrastructure falls short, leading to potential post-harvest
        losses and diminished profitability.

5.1.4. Consumer Awareness: Despite their nutritional and

environmental advantages, millets suffer from a perception challenge.
Their benefits are not widely recognized, leading to subdued demand
        in the market.

        5.2 Action Plan:
