Jal Diwas

IMDR is an institute that celebrates and promotes every
good cause. On July 22, 2019 “Jal Diwas” was
celebrated at IMDR. A digital Poster making
competition was organized by the CSR committee on
the occasion of Jal Diwas. The motive of this
competition was to create awareness among all to save
and use water rationally. Students participated in the
competition and presented best of their skills. All of
them gave us various ways to save water and how water
can be used judiciously. Shruti Dhaigude secured first
place in the competition. Shameeka Bhand and Nikita
Deshmukh stood second and Aishwarya Chachad and
Arena Makani in the third place. All the other
participants too gave their best by depicting certain
things people do which leads to wastage of water and
how it could be precluded.

Financial Literacy

On July 18, 2019 a session on Financial Literacy was
conducted for the students of DM1. This session was
organized by the CSR Committee of IMDR. The event
was funded by Vodafone Foundation & conducted by
Learning Link Foundation. The students were given
information on how necessary it is in today's world for
each person to have a bank account. Students were
introduced to some financial terms. They made the
students aware of the significance of saving money
and abstaining from squandering the same.

Cleanliness Initiative

On 17th September 2019, a CSR Initiative on
cleanliness and waste management was organized on
the occasion of Swachata Divas. A drama and speech
on awareness regarding cleanliness and waste
segregation was presented. A quiz was also conducted
on the same topic for which chocolates were given as
prizes. New dustbins were brought and kept at various
locations and everyone was informed about the
separate dustbins kept for waste segregation. Waste
management is an important issue about which IMDR
is very conscious.
