Business Plan Competition

A good business plan is a desideratum for the incipient entrepreneurs. With P.G.D.M. or MBA, a person equips himself
with the repertoire for doing business. The governmental ministrations have indubitably augmented the number of
people going in that direction. To invigorate the dormant entrepreneurs inside its students, IMDR organized an inter-
collegiate competition, namely, “Business Plan Competition” on 28th September 2019 in its auditorium. Colleges of
sterling reputation took part in the same. BMCC, Symbiosis College of Arts and Commerce, Savitribai Phule Pune
University, Dr. D.Y. Patil College of Arts and Commerce, Sai Balaji Society and Fergusson College were some of the
colleges that participated in the aforesaid competition.

The event was a resounding success and it is attributable to the assiduity and industry of the Entrepreneurship and
Innovation Cell of IMDR. 22 participants came with avant-garde and ingenious ideas. The competition had two levels.

IMDR E-cell had invited the experts to judge the event. The judges were, Mr. Advait Kurlekar, CEO – Upohan
Management Consultants, Mr. Mayank Rajput, Founder & CEO Robomaniax Edutech Pvt Ltd & Asia Pacific head of
Entrepreneur Live Network & Miss Renuka Diwan, Director, Bio- Prime Agri Solutions Pvt. Ltd.
The faculty from IMDR gave some insights to the participants, which they found very helpful. Everyone was glad that
they took part in the competition because they could know where they are lacking, what their shortcomings are and
where improvements are needed.
Mr. Praj Tilekar from DM-II was announced as the winner. The first runner up were students from PUMBA & the second
runner up were Fergusson college students. Cash prizes worth Rs. 20,000 were awarded to the winners.
