Alumni Mentoring
The second-year students began their year with a new practice adopted by IMDR, to wit, Alumni Mentoring program.
The college contacted alumni from different batches to guide the students on the knowledge and requirements in the
corporate industry. The alumni who have decided to contribute back to their alma mater are people who hold different
senior positions in companies like CITI, Reliance, Deloitte, etc. The mentoring program has witnessed many alumni
visiting their alma mater to mentor students on different aspects. The first few sessions with the alumni were centered on
what backgrounds students come from and their expectations from the program. The students were given various tasks
to perform to know them better. Some included writing about oneself on mail in a crisp format, while some included
reading specific books and focusing on the self through meditation. Thanks to Skype and other videoconferencing tools,
the need for the alumni, who were overseas to fly down was obviated.
The program yielded many positive changes in students and they were of behavioral and intellectual nature. This has in
turn helped the students to find out their interests as well as core competencies and work towards its improvement.
Kudos to IMDR & spirit of IMDR!!!
Rejuvenating Bonds - Alumni Meets
The alumni are the most treasured assets of
IMDR. Being the oldest B School in Pune,
1990-92
IMDR has a rich alumni base. The alumni of
1990-92 & 2004-06 batch visited the
campus recently. The students had prepared
2004-06 marvelous surprises for the alumni along
with some games and performances. The
students were excited and enthusiastic, as
though they were looking at their corporate
future.
The alumni spoke about their journey after
graduating and their corporate experiences.
They had great advice for students and
riveting anecdotes. The alumni were
overwhelmed by talents & efforts of the
students and the treatment they received. It
is beautiful how a place can create such
strong bonds among strangers and just
simply coming back to that place, those
bonds are reborn and strengthened forever.
