individual, society and nature. If any entity is developing his own
unbalanced development, it can be harmful to the society and nature.
While one person is developing, other people should not be emasculated
and social health should not be degraded. Also, while strengthening social
health, humans should not be treated as a machine. While carrying out
any development work, it is necessary to maintain the balance of nature
i.e. the environment. Nature is like a cow. Cow’s milk should be explored,
not exploited. Similarly, one should get various things by exploring nature,
but one should not invite pollution by exploiting nature. This can be the
formula of this balance. Any imbalanced development cannot really be
          sustainable development.
The third aspect of integral humanism has been named by Pandit
Deendayal Upadhyay, ‘Antyodaya’. (Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya,2014)
Explaining this idea, he says, “Development of the last person at the
lowest level of the social, cultural and economical Pyramid of society
should be given priority”. That is, a priority of investment must be given
to the development of the weaker section of the society.
It will be easy to visualize that all the development plans implemented
by Narendra Modi since he became the Prime Minister were based
on the concept of ‘Antyodaya’. Opening a bank account for every poor
person, extending every government aid directly to the needy person by
directly depositing funds in his bank account, without giving a chance
to any broker, building toilets in every house for the better health of
common man, implementing comprehensive housing scheme for every
man to get shelter, controlling pollution, reducing labor of women is the
practical way of implementing Antyodaya. To provide free gas stoves and
cylinders to every poor person to provide good quality food, to provide
electricity to every village and every house, to supply tap water to every
house. To make people self-reliant by providing minimum basic price of
agricultural commodities, to provide minimum medical expenses Free
vaccine distribution. All these schemes are associated with the concept
of Antyodaya.. The concept of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas and Sabka
Vishwas’ can only come true when the last man on the last step of society
          is empowered.
Both capitalism and communism have failed to make the whole of
human life happy and prosperous. Therefore, it is possible for India to
develop on the basis of this model of integral humanism as evidenced by
the experience of ancient Indian culture and in this way India is likely to
become a happy, prosperous and strong nation.
