Involvement of all in economic development
The first requirement for the rapid economic development of the
country is that every member of the society should be involved in the
economic development plan. If a large section of the society continues to
look to other communities to meet their needs, then the pace of progress
of the society will definitely slow down. Therefore, it is a national need
to provide employment opportunities to the poorest of the poor and
to contribute to the production of the means. The forest dwellers, the
citizens in the remote rural areas and the women across the country. This
very large section of the society has not been involved in the task of giving
economic impetus to the country till date. It is imperative that special
plans be made for them to be included.
The tribals never destroy the forest, do not harm the environment. The
needs of these individuals are minimal and are met by exploring nature.
The exploitation of forest resources is done by the urban community.
Therefore, various employment opportunities should be made available
to the forest dwellers by encouraging them, educating them and using
the forest resources. The sale of various goods made from forest resources
should be started in big cities. Exhibitions of these items should be spread
all over the place and their information should be disseminated to the
society. Forest dwellers should be allowed to cultivate under the forest
for their own subsistence. Awareness should be created that development
of forest dwellers is our responsibility. This will lead to the development
of the forest dwellers. For the development of the forest dwellers, other
communities have to contribute financially today. In turn, these forest
dwellers will contribute financially for the development of the country.
The most effective means of generating employment in rural areas is
the cottage industries that add value to agricultural commodities. Today
there are a large number of people who are dependent on relatively small
pieces of land. The land alone can’t bear the burden of the livelihood
of such a large population. The income from farm produce is unstable
and inadequate. If associated agro-processing industries are set up in
villages, it will provide employment to every hand and increase the speed
of economic production many times over. Animal husbandry has been
recognized in India since ancient times as an adjunct to agriculture. But
mainly cows were used only for milking and oxen were used only for
agricultural work or transportation. Biogas and manure can be produced
