Observations:
a. From the above chart, there is evidence of a variety of difculties encountered post the
rst week at work via digital means
b. The biggest difculty encountered was introduction to work systems as the new
organisation may have been using different types of instruments, software systems etc
for doing the work and there was no hands on help available in case of difculties.
c. Another difculty encountered is regarding cultural norms & value systems of
organisation, as new entrants to the organisation irrespective of their designation, they
need to be made aware of the norms and values enshrined in the work culture of the
organisation, hence it is a pain area, which needs attention.
d. As the companies are currently shut, the HR and concerned department are also facing
the issues of allocation, How to keep the employee engaged is a challenge.
e. Due to mass scale work from home activities, some organisations have also reported
connectivity issues, as the employees struggle with internet connectivity and also
availability og mentors at certain times.
6. While digital onboarding the new entrants' response is:
Observations:
a. Most of the digital on boarders were very enthusiastic in their response to the
onboarding process,one reason attributed could be the relief that their employment
was safe and they were getting absorbed into the organisations.
b. There was also a case wherein an organisation reported response of digital onboarders
as disappointing, this was from BFSI sector.
c. One organisation reported the response as neutral meaning that the digital on
boarders did not sound too excited neither were they lazy in their response, it was
recorded in a Fashion based organisation.
