iv. Use of social media: HR officials can use social platforms like Facebook, X, WhatsApp, Instagram etc. for
spotting the talented candidates, and improving organization’s reputation. They can also use social platforms
at managing existing employees, convincing them to remain loyal to the company. Thus, social media can
be utilized by the HR department as a useful tool in driving businesses forward.
5. Opportunities:
HR professionals have a lot of exciting prospects to become strategic business partners and make a big
difference in the performance of their organisations thanks to the changing role of HR in India. HR may be a
key player in determining how work is done in India in the future by embracing change, learning new skills,
and making efficient use of technology.
6. Challenges and Considerations:
Conflict for Talent: HR will need to draw and keep top people in a competitive labour market by
offering attractive pay, benefits, and inclusive work environments.
Remote and Hybrid Work Models: HR will need to set up new procedures and technological tools
to facilitate performance management, virtual on boarding, and remote collaboration.
Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DE&I): Through the implementation of equitable hiring
procedures, training on unconscious bias, and addressing systemic disparities, HR will need to promote an
inclusive workplace.
Employee Well-being: HR will need to place a high priority on well-being initiatives, flexible work
schedules, and mental health resources because it understands the connection between burnout and mental
health.
Leveraging Technology: HR technology platforms automate procedures, reduce administrative work,
and offer data-driven insights for wise decision-making. Therefore, HR will need to play a crucial role to help
the organization in leveraging technology.
Learning and development: HR will need to keep Employees flexible and future-ready with the help
of individualised training and providing them upskilling opportunities by online learning platforms.
