Educational ERP Solutions is a company that knows a lot about education and has made a great ERP system
for schools and colleges. It can be changed to fulfil the needs as per requirement and get even better over time.
In an Educational ERP system, there are typically three types of data: Master data, Transaction data, and Report
data. Here are examples of each type:
I. Master Data: Master data is like the important groundwork that you set up at the beginning and hardly
ever need to change. It's the basic info that stays pretty much the same all the time and acts as a
reference for every other activity.
Example:
1. Student information: Once the school or university starts using an education ERP, all the details about
students will be entered. This includes your Name, Unique Student ID, Contact Information, and the
program enrolled in. This data doesn't change frequently it's like creating a directory of students.
2. Course Catalog: The ERP system stores information about the courses offered by the institution. This
includes course Names, Descriptions, Prerequisites, and the Number of credit hours. This information
is typically configured once and updated only when the new courses are introduced, or any changes
are made.
II. Transaction Data: Transaction data is the dynamic information that changes frequently as daily
activities take place within the educational institution. Record ongoing actions and events.
Example:
1. Attendance records: The system records the students who attended or were absent from each course
daily. Includes details such as date, time, student ID, and attendance. This data changes periodically as
the course runs.
2. Grades and Evaluations: When students take tests, submit assignments, or complete projects, grades
and grade data is entered into the system. These records are added or updated throughout the academic
term as students continue to complete assignments and exams.
III. Report Data: Report data is derived from the transaction data and is used to provide summaries or
insights into various aspects of the educational institution's operations.
Examples:
1. Student Progress Reports: These reports are generated periodically to summarize a student's academic
performance. They include information on grades, attendance, and how well a student is doing in
different courses over a semester or academic year.
