         Women Entrepreneurship Models in India

It is thought that if women entrepreneurs are given equal access to inputs, they will be able to own and

run businesses and generate significant economic benefits. In India, businesses owned and managed by women
may use a variety of models.

 Self Help Groups (SHGs): An SHG is made up of a few women who meet together to contribute
money on a regular basis. SHGs, which began as microfinance systems, frequently develop into a

forum that encourages female solidarity by bringing them along to discuss issues of health, nutrition,

gender parity, and gender justice. According to a study from the state of Punjab SHGs have
significantly improved rural women's skills and provided them with opportunities to participate in a

variety of entrepreneurial activities, which has helped them enhance their entrepreneurial aptitude and
capacity. Women are encouraged to embrace activities like as handloom weaving, dairy farming,

piggery farming, poultry farming, and handicrafts through participating in SHGs. Additionally, SHGs
give women a forum to exchange information and raise awareness on monetary management,

education, health, family welfare, hygiene, nutrition, the environment, social forestry, etc. 2020 (Edel

                 Giving Foundation).
 NGOs Led Businesses: Women's NGOs have long been important in the lively hood design of women

in and around the globe. In India, educated and wealthy women were able to find socially acceptable
jobs outside the home in the non- profit sector. They performed volunteer labour for social service non-

profits aimed at reducing poverty and under the auspices of religious organisations. Non-governmental
organisations' participation substantially improved the lives of women (NGOs). Several organisations
