However, there exists a knowledge gap in the strategies needed to
        promote millet cultivation and consumption effectively. This study
        aims to bridge that gap by identifying challenges and proposing an
        actionable roadmap for the revival of millets in Maharashtra.


        1.3 Objectives of the Research Paper.

        Assessment of Current Status: To evaluate the current scenario of
        millet  production in Maharashtra, including acreage, yield, and

        varieties cultivated.

        Identification  of  Challenges:  To  identify  the  socio-economic,
        agronomic, and market-related challenges hindering the growth of
        millet cultivation in Maharashtra.

        Market Dynamics and Value Chain Analysis: To study the existing

        value chain for millets, from production to consumption, and identify
        opportunities and bottlenecks in the market.

        Formulation of Action Plan: Based on the research findings, draft a
        comprehensive and actionable plan that can be adopted by farmers,

        policymakers, and other stakeholders to rejuvenate millet production
        in Maharashtra.

        Recommendations  for Policy  Interventions:  To suggest  policy
        measures and initiatives that the state government and agricultural

        bodies can undertake to incentivize and promote millet cultivation.

        By addressing these objectives, this research paper aims to provide a
        holistic overview and strategy to revive millet production, ensuring
        Maharashtra’s sustainable  agricultural  future and nutritional  well-

        being.
