loan borrowers are Women.”. The study reveals that
in Maharashtra, there is a wide scope to educate
and encourage women entrepreneurs to avail the
funding opportunity being provided under PMMY.

The majority of the beneficiaries (56%) are from the
age group of 26-35 years, followed by 36-45 years
(Figure No.9.).

It is also evident that only 12 % are the beneficiaries
who are below 25 years of age. This shows the need of
making youth aware about the PMMY scheme as well
as other schemes which are devised by Government
