classes, general stores etc. The widespread over

variety of business activities has shown that the
benefit of PMMY has been reached to many sectors
which are though considered small business but
plays a crucial role in the society.

Demographic Analysis

The demographic analysis of the beneficiaries is
showing that majority of borrowers are male (84%) who
have availed this facility of Mudra loan (Figure No. 8)

This is contradictory to the Press release of Ministry
of Finance published on March 03, 2020, which
says that “As on 31.01.2020, more than 22.53
crore loans have been sanctioned since launch of

the scheme. Out of this, more than 15.75 crore
