designers, and Ground breaker (Baruah, 2015). One study conducted by The Energy Resources Institute and
the Self- Employed Women's Association in collaboration with qualitative and quantitative research in 2012-
2013, found that women face barriers to accessing technology and employment due to less buying power and
Limited Social standings (Haldar, 2020). However, the study also highlighted the tremendous potential for
creating earning opportunities for women on each stage of the energy supply chain (Groot et al., 2017).
Moreover, it emphasized the need for more extensive social liberal policies and state intervention to support
female enthusiasts in energy sector and build a strong social welfare system and provide easily accessible, top-
notch public services. Another study focused on the state of Gujarat, which is considered one of the highest
potential states for renewable energy. The study examined the factors that influence the regular ways to
sustainable entrepreneurship in the green energy field in Gujarat. These factors include economic motivations,
Special undertaking to the environment, and social concerns. The findings from this study suggest that
renewable energy entrepreneurs in Gujarat are directed by a blend of economic, environmental, and social
factors. They are motivated by the potential for financial success, as well as a deep sense of personal
commitment to protecting the environment and addressing social issues. These entrepreneurs face challenges
such as limited resources to corporate finance, high costs of green technologies, unskilled, lack of ecosystem
and logistics, the dominance of established businesses in the industry, and limited government or policy
support. (Baruah, 2015)
The research on women becoming business leaders and sustainable development is even now in its early stages
due to the originality of the matter. However, the affirmations suggests that women are deeply worried
regarding the upcoming period of time, leading them to prioritize sustainability in their entrepreneurial
endeavours. Studies have identified four main approaches to analysing female entrepreneurship and
sustainability: gender differences, the effect of the female workforce, the significance of female enterprisers
in sustainable tourism development, and various related subjects. Women entrepreneurs tend to focus on
knowledge, experience, and the quality of services offered, while men often prioritize profit. Corporations
having more female pioneers are found to be concerned about green and clean factor to a great extent,
contributing in economic and socio-economic development. Women entrepreneurs also play a significant role
in sustainable tourism development. To encourage more women to engage in green entrepreneurship, it is
essential to promote their inspiration, principles, perception, and social inclination. Governments' support at
the domestic and international stages is particular for elucidating an ecologically sound future. Further research
is needed to cover areas such as green entrepreneurship among fresh and superior leaders and in various
industries. (Sustainability 2021, 13, 12047)
