The survey further discusses the popularity of millets in Maharashtra.
The results suggest that out of the 56 responses, a majority of the
population approx. (92%) are aware of Sorghum Millet (Jowar)
and Pearl Millet (Bajra). Almost 73% of the population is aware of
Amutaranth Millet (Rajgira). 70% of the population is aware of the
Finger Millet (Ragi) and 59% of the population is aware of Foxtail
Millet (Ragi). Buckwheat Millet (Kutta), Little Millet (Moraiyo/
Kutki), Barnyard Millet, and Broomcorn Millet show minimum
literacy or awareness. Hence, the majority of the population is aware
of Jowar, Bajra, Ragi, and Rajgira.
