different levels of education. From Literate to high
school and graduate levels of education were almost
equally observed. There were few illiterate or post
graduates (Figure No.25).

In a country like India, where the level of education,
awareness about various rights and responsibilities
of a citizen is still very low, the researchers tried to
understand the level of awareness related to PMMY.

This scheme is aimed to provide financial support
to the unaided or low aided sectors of the society
and hence it is important to understand wheather

the targeted beneficiaries are even aware of such
schemes or not. The respondents are the people
who come in contact with many people every day
and hence it is natural choice to ask them about
the level of awareness about MUDRA scheme.
