millets in Maharashtra sheds light on the current state of consumer
knowledge and perception towards these highly nutritious grains. The
findings of the study suggest that while millets are widely consumed
in certain parts of Maharashtra, there is a lack of awareness about their

health benefits and culinary versatility among the general population.

Effective promotional campaigns and initiatives that showcase
the benefits of millets and provide information on their nutritional
value and culinary uses could play a crucial role in increasing

their popularity and consumption in Maharashtra. This study also
highlights the need for collaboration among stakeholders in the
millet industry, including farmers, government agencies, and food

processors, to create a sustainable market for millets in Maharashtra.

The promotion of millet in Maharashtra has had a positive impact
on farmers, nutrition, and the environment. However, to sustain
this momentum, the government needs to address the challenges

and invest in creating awareness, promoting the use of millets, and
improving market access for farmers. With these efforts, millets have
the potential to become a major crop in Maharashtra and contribute
to sustainable agriculture, improved nutrition, and better livelihoods
        for farmers.

Overall, this study provides valuable insights for policymakers,
marketers, and industry players on the potential for promoting
millets as a healthy and sustainable food option in Maharashtra, and
underscores the importance of creating awareness and education

initiatives to drive consumer demand and adoption.

In conclusion, the surveys conducted among rural and urban
populations have unveiled key insights into millet awareness and
consumption. Notably, rural areas exhibited higher millet awareness,
