Conclusion

In conclusion, millet can be critical in addressing the triple challenge
of food security, nutrition, and climate change. Millets have been a
part of the Indian traditional diet for centuries, and the government of
India has recognized their potential for enhancing food and nutritional
security. However, despite the numerous benefits that millets offer,
their cultivation and consumption have been declining steadily over
        the past few decades.

The government of India has recognized the potential of millets and
has been taking various measures to promote their cultivation and
consumption. The government’s efforts to promote millets include
the launch of various missions, sub-missions, and pilot projects aimed
at increasing productivity, promoting value addition, and enhancing
        awareness about millets’ nutritional benefits.

At the same time, it is crucial to enhance awareness and promote millet’s
nutritional benefits through targeted campaigns and promotional
activities. Millets’ branding and positioning in international markets
can be instrumental in enhancing their marketability and value-
        addition potential.

Finally, there is a need for a coordinated and concerted effort
by various stakeholders, including the government, civil society
organizations, research institutions, and the private sector, to promote
millets effectively. Collaboration and convergence between various
departments and agencies can help enlarge the mandate of millet
promotion and generate synergies that can enhance the impact of
        millet promotion efforts.
