As a part of student development activities and corporate connect, IMDR continuously organizes webinars by various renowned industry experts. On January 28 th 2023, The guest session was arranged by IMDR for PGDM students to understand Industry Trends and FinTech ecosystem. IMDR Pune invited Ms. Mr. Gaurav Sharma, Global Lead Technology & Cloud, Business Consulting, Finacle, Infosys.
FinTech has had a significant impact on global financial services industry over the last decade. FinTechs have converted market challenges into opportunities through a focus on innovation, which has led to FinTech and non-FinTech players building super apps to engage customers across a wider product suite.
Mr. Gaurav Sharma shared his insights on the global triggers for technological advancements in finance like dynamism of banking sector, cryptocurrency and demand of block chain, remittances through block chain, flexibility of regulatory bodies. He gave very well suited examples of platforms and aggregators which were very relatable in our day to day life. He shared his deep insights on evolution of Indian stack, phases of digital transformation in India and account aggregators.
In elaborative manner he explained the basic concept of FinTech , their role and concerned players in the market.
All the students took invaluable takeaways from this great discussion.
