Profile:
Dr. Abhijeet Shivane is a Professor of Operations at IMDR. He holds a B.E. in Mechanical Engineering and a DBM from Dr. B.A.M.U. Aurangabad, an MMS from Pune University, and an MBA from CSM IGS Canada (Center – TASMAC Pune). He completed his Ph.D. from RTM Nagpur University, focusing on the ‘Impact of Information Technology on Banking Service Operations’.
Dr. Shivane brings 27 years and 10 months of professional experience to his role, comprising 4 years in industry and 23 years and 10 months in teaching. His career began as a Maintenance Engineer at Garware Polyester Ltd Aurangabad (1996-2000). Passionate about education, he transitioned to academia and has since taught at various Management and Engineering institutes, including ICFAI National College Akola, Omegan School of Business Aurangabad, Government College of Engineering Aurangabad, P.E.S. College of Engineering Aurangabad, Government Polytechnic Jalna, and Government Polytechnic Latur.
He joined IMDR in 2010 as a Lecturer in Operations, advanced to Associate Professor in December 2019, and became Professor in Operations in August 2023.
Dr. Shivane has also been active on LinkedIn, writing insightful articles on topics such as Education, Entrepreneurship, Personality, and Supply Chain Management
